Biography: September 16, 1980, being a special day, I was born. My name is Anka Romensky and this is my story. I was born in a little city called Kirovograd. My house was tucked away on the mountainside of a rural town in the mountain range of snowy Ukraine. The school was large and cold, with strict teachers to push you to your highest level. By the age of nine my time and interests were invested in music, dancing, and karate classes, while maintaining an “A” average in my academic classes. I also played handball because I needed to exercise, and I enjoyed being outdoors. In 1991, my parents decided to move the family to Miami, Florida, U.S.A. The reason for the move to Miami was to provide a better future for my brother, Dmitry, and me. Being 11, I attended the local public elementary school, for one year, but transferred to another school that specialized in music education. While I played piano with the orchestra at the middle school, I managed to skip to 7th grade. At this time I wanted to my model and my mom and her friend took me for shoots on the beach and other natural places to help me create my first portfolio. My charming, intelligent, loving parents lost their marriage after settling in Miami. Perhaps it was the stress of a new environment and changing roles. But, they got divorced and I lived with my mother and my grandmother, and attended public high school, where I did a Magnet Program in International Studies. My studies included Latin, Spanish, Italian and Russian classes. During my senior year I won the category of “Best All Around”. One of my nick names, as I was growing up, was “Blondie”. My hobbies were singing, rapping and writing music, to name a few. My style in clothing consisted of Nike sneakers, baggy pants and little tank tops. At the end of high school I said, “Bye-bye ‘hoochie’ and hello, Gucci”, because that’s when my modeling career began. My family had always encouraged me to continue my education, and they helped me to achieve it. College, modeling, and business studies, have broadened my horizons, and yes, Playboy helped me to be a world traveler, seeing the world in style! My hope and dreams for the future include continuining to work on my music especially writing. When I write music I feel happily challenged and dream of an exciting career as a performing artist. When I have nothing else to do, which is very rare, I follow my real estate brokerage office. Family of course, is number one in my life, without their love and support I wouldn’t be where I am today. Since I have been fortunate with such a great and supportive family I would like to give back to society by assisting other people who have not been as fortunate as me.
