Biography:

Annie Parisse joined the esteemed cast of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning “Law & Order” in January 2005 as new Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Borgia.

Filmed entirely on location in New York City, “Law & Order” presents a compelling and realistic drama that looks at crime and justice from a dual perspective: the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. “Law & Order,” the second longest-running drama in the history of television, now enters its 16th season on NBC.

“Annie is a terrific actress, and her character is an exotic beauty whose looks belie the fact that she is usually the smartest person in the room,” said Dick Wolf creator and executive producer of “Law & Order.”

Parisse earlier guest-starred on “Law & Order” during the 2001-02 season. Her other television credits include “Friends,” “Third Watch,” “Big Apple” and “As the World Turns.” Her feature-film credits include “National Treasure,” “Monster-in-Law” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” In addition, Parisse will be seen this Fall in the Universal Pictures film “Prime,” starring Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman.

Parisse studied theater at Fordham University at Lincoln Center and at the Holborne Center for Performing Arts in London. Her theater credits include “The Credeaux Canvas” at Playwrights Horizons and Neal Bell’s “Monster” at the Classic Stage Company.

Parisse, who was born in Anchorage, Alaska, currently resides in New York.
