Biography: At the young age of 15, this Brooklyn Native entered this crap game that everyone calls, a rap game as Foxy Brown would say. Foxy got her got her REP by doing small local talent shows & being under the influence of Nas, Jay Z, Notorious, & former friend Kim. Other producers such as Puff Daddy & The Trackmasters also helped Foxy Brown, real name, "Inga Marchand" launch her career. As time pasted, Foxy was 16 and begin to appear on most artist remixes/ or orginal tracks such as: Total, LLCoolj, Toni Braxton, Nas, Silk, and more. Foxy finally struck a deal with what she thought could be a lifetime label that she'd love always but feelings seem to change, vice versa. Defjam had did the soundtrack for "The Nutty Professer" & Foxy Brown was on two of the songs. Touch Me Tease Me & Aint No was instantly hits. Touch Me went platnum & Aint No went Gold. By late 96, Foxy's debut album "Ill Na Na" was released with its first single "Get Me Home". The album debuted in the Billboard Top 10 album Charts. After all of the wonderful success of "Ill Na Na", Foxy decided to take it to antoher level, but this time, with best friend Nas, Az & Nature as "The Firm". The album was released & its first single "Firm Biz" did kinda well. The album debuted #1 and sold a little over a million records. To Foxy, the album could have been better and wasn't well put together. It was a total wreck, while the album was out, Foxy was still promoting her album, "Ill Na Na", Nas was doing other stuff, Az was trying to do other stuff, and new memeber Nature was just stuck in the Firm Biz traffic jam. The Firm Family just went in 4 different directions. When all of this koas was over with, Foxy tried to make her sophmore effort with her second solo album, "Chyna Doll". The album was good but a total wreck on some people eyes. Foxy was blamed for stealing certain females voice, styles, flows, etc... "Chyna Doll" did do well on the charts & it did sale over 1.6 million records (not including over seas counts). That year in 99, Foxy got her first modeling gig with Calvin Klien Jeans CO. Foxy had plenty of ups & downs that year. And on & off releationships with X-boyfriend, Kurupt. When Foxy & Dog Pound's gangsta finally broke up, thats when more drama happen. Foxy begin getting no repsonses from her own label, best friend Nas & Jay Z both gave her the cold sholder, and she was getting verbally attackted from alot of rappers. With all of these industry problems, Foxy's personal (non-industry) problems began to happen also. Foxy's career had seemed to be over because the media was dogging her out & slowing not even mentioning her. Foxy went into server depression and tried to find other methods of solving things, even if it meant taking her own life. Foxy later crashed her Range Rover, and the media made it seems as if she was a reckless driver. Foxy had to take pain peels for pain but begin taking a little more than what she needed. After two years of constantly bad luck and drama non-stop, Foxy came back with a classic album that no female album has ever been compared to. "Broken Silence" debuted at #5 on Billboard Top 10 with no promotion. Foxy released a single & video months before the album came out but released her official first single and video for Broken Silence was released like a month before it came out. The two singles that came out before the album released was "Bk Anthem & Oh Yeah". Foxy's label, Defjam still refused to support Foxy Brown because they want her to be Hip-POP and make mainstream songs. Foxy paid for her videos and some of the "little" promotion the album had. Defjam began trying to block her interviews, concerts, etc... Anything they could do to stop Foxy from being seen. Defjam is boycotting Foxy, as of now. But the strong black woman Foxy is, she's gonna be alright.
