But Mary Hart-seated on a Harley? That requires a bit of explanation."My husband recently bought a Harley and wanted to go to the largest motorcycle rally in the country,which was being held in my native South Dakota," Hart says. "We were going to go just for the fun of it,but in talking with (Entertainment Tonight Executive Producer) Jim about it, I realized that it would makea great story for the show. So I ended up covering the event for Entertainment Tonight and had awonderful time. I, of course, fit in perfectly!" she adds with a laugh.And how did the bikers react to the sight of Mary Hart, clad in a leather jacket and throttling up a "hog"?She smiles as she recreates the scene: "There I was, with 100,000 motorcyclists tattooed from their armpitsto their ankles, and most of the ones who approached me asked, 'How's A.J.?"'A.J. is Hart's son and her most personal production to date. Born on Christmas Eve, 1991 to Hart and herhusband, Beverly Hills businessman Burt Sugarman, A.J. has changed the way Hart looks at life. As sheputs it, "I have a family situation that I love so much, I really feel happier than I've ever been in my life."Born in South Dakota, Hart lived in Sioux Falls until the age of six, when her father's career took the familyto Europe. After spending four years each in Denmark and Sweden, she returned to South Dakota to attendboarding school and later earned a degree in English from Augustana College.It was during her college years that Hart was bitten by the television bug. She recalls, "The first time I was on camera, I knew that's where I belonged. I felt that very, very strongly, right away."
