Biography: Tara Thompson was born in New York City, but grew up in Westchester, New York, and spent years studying ballet, tap and jazz. Thompson first knew that she wanted to get into acting when she joined a local children's community theater. She was able to incorporate her dance background into theater and performed in numerous local productions, including Fame, The Music Man, West Side Story and Children of Eden, among others. After taking just one meeting with a manager, she was immediately offered a contract and sent out on auditions. Thompson was reading for a different pilot for The WB when the casting directors realized that she would be perfect for the role of Shelly on The Mountain. She starred in her first TV series The Mountain. She plays Young Jenny in My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Her next movie is The Attic.
