Biography:

Tricia Helfer was born in the rural community of Donalda, Alberta, Canada, in 1974, and grew up on her family's grain farm. At the age of 17, she was discovered by Kelly Streit, a modeling agency scout, while standing in line at the local movie theater. Tricia's modeling career exploded when she entered and won Ford's Supermodel of the World Contest in 1992, leading to her signing with the Elite Modeling agency...
Her name and face may not yet be familiar to the majority of the population, but former model and up-and-coming actress Tricia Helfer seems to have been destined for superstardom ever since she won Ford's Supermodel of the Year contest in the early '90s. It's still too early to tell if she'll be as successful as a thespian, as she was strutting the catwalks and gracing the pages of the top fashion mags.
Tricia is best known for her work as a model in campaigns for Oil of Olay, Chanel's Cristalle perfume and some memorable Victoria's Secret lingerie assignments. As an actress, she portrayed Farrah Fawcett in a 2004 NBC movie of the week, and continues to play sexy cyborg Number 6 on the Sci Fi channel's revamped Battlestar Galactica series.
